Board of Directors

Nicholas Threlfall BSc FRICS (51), educated at Sandown Grammar School and following graduation from Portsmouth University (nee Polytechnic), spent the first 8 years of his career with Kent County Council dealing with a full range of professional matters, before joining Ward & Partners (subsequently Prudential Commercial) in 1987 as Manager of the Chatham Commercial Office. He is Managing Director of the Practice, with particular responsibility for agency, development, professional matters and client liaison.

Married with two children and a menagerie, Nick has little sporting prowess (largely due to his waif like physique) and was described by his sports master as "tries hard, but lacks ability". His achievements in running at school, where he put in a credible performance in cross country marathons, have tempered to a liking of walking, particularly on beaches. A moderate petrol-head, and enthusiast of the Isle of Wight where he grew up - engage him on either of these subjects at your peril !

Ian Gutteridge FRICS Aged 45 (at last count - May 2008), and educated at Dartford Grammar School. Commenced working life with Gravesham Borough Council for 4½ years and then with Ward & Partners commercial department in Chatham. During this time he studied via day release and correspondence course for membership of the RICS and secured election in 1987. Managed the commercial offices for Ward & Partners (subsequently Prudential Property Services) at Canterbury and then Dartford. In 1989 he co-founded the new practice of Watson Day where he has remained to this day.

Married with 2 children (2 dogs, cat, horse, fish, etc, etc), Ian was in his early years a competitive swimmer ("my argument for being larger than average") competing to county standard but now enjoys most sports, particularly cricket, playing league games on a weekly basis and being heavily involved in the running of his local club, together with occasional golf (badly - 28 handicap but only because the system won't go higher !).
